Google Doodles

By: Mayank and Robert

Google doodles are very creative and even interactive logos made for special occasion around the world. The first Google doodle was for the burning man festival and was released on August 30,1998. In 1999 Google changed their main logo to something contemporary and modern. This is the same logo we still use. Through out the year Google has developed some amazing designed doodles which were just addons but now designs vary   from interactive ones to moving and completely changed logos.
The first interactive doodle was released in 2008 and it was for PAC-MAN's thirtieth anniversary. Google did a great job making this game like the original PAC-MAN. With the advanced technology now a day Google made one eighth of all the 2012 Olympic doodles are interactive games. One of the most popular is Les Paul's 96th birthday, where Google created a futuristic and playable guitar.Check them out at http://www.google.com/doodles/finder/2013/All%20doodlesWith all the great doodles now making Google look awesome on certain day. We can't think of better doodles after almost 15 years of them for all national and international events.

Next fastest car

The X1 prototype by Red Bull will be the next fastest car, finally leaving Bugatti in the dust. With a horsepower of 1634, the car can reach 311 Mph in less then 1 minute. One seat with the most futuristic interior, and a full carbon fiber body making it weigh only 545 kg (1201.52 lbs). That is lighter then your SUV's, but how does it generate 1634 HP and still be so light. Well, all the parts of the car that generate the horse power are scattered all over the car. The car has a suction fan the keeps it on the floor and not flying away and giving it an incredible amount of performance handling. The driving simulator 'Gran Tursmio 5' was the first to introduce this car. The game is used by real F1 drivers to practice races. Sebastian Vettel, 3 time F1 champion was the first to drive the car in the game from 10 before it was released and with the fastest time the car, a version of the car was made the same as his Red Bull uniform with a faster version of the car reach 315 MPH. The car was finally created by Red Bull and they were amazed by the car. Victor, a former student here at Taylor drove the car in the simulator and just enjoy the speed and the turning that was never experienced in a car. He said "This car will change the racing world and make them more interesting to watch." Sebastian Vettel said " The X1 is definetly a car I would love to drive in a race." According to an interview after the simulator.

Little Lucca A local sandwich shop

Little Lucca a place that is crowded many times for a good reason, their sandwiches. A wide variety of sandwiches can be made from BBQ beef brisket, Italian beef, turkey, and even sandwiches for vegetarians. Those are only sandwiches and there are also specials. Check out there menu http://www.littlelucca.com/menu-burl-200911.pdf. I have been there so many times and the yelp reviews for the sandwich shop are true. From taste, texture, and customization for the perfect sandwich they will make for you and it will be incredible. I asked my teacher Mr. Sullivan and he said "I love their sauces like the pesto. There bread are good because that is the basically the first thing you taste."

Women in Miltary combat

On Janurary 23, 2013 the ban on women in combat was lifted. Since US defence secretary Leon Panetta's decision to lift the ban on women serving in combat roles which was instituted in 1994 , reaction from female military veterans was extremely joyful. However families thought that their precious daugthers are now in more risk of lossing their life. Many say that women will make great soilders but they have to pass some tests and be physical trainer for the battlefield. Leon Panetta, the man who lifted the ban has been in the government since 2003 as divison commander ever since then he has set one of his main priorities as lifting this ban. 10 years was very long but during tha time, Mr. Panetta and General Dempsey said they had met weekly for more than a year about lifting the ban and had kept President Obama informed about developments in this proccess. The General said that now that the ban has been lifted the women will be physically and mentally trained. Marine officials also said they might change the initial physical standards that recruits have to meet before they are sent off to boot camp. A few news articles have said that over 42% of the army will be women by 2015, if they pass the physically test that is.
